CW for FUCKING AWESOME

WC: 45388/50000

The battle began like any other one we’d had so far. Nothing special. The regular kind of boss music playing telling me that this was just a beginning form, nothing extravagant, maybe just a chance for us all to show off, warm up, gauge exactly what we were dealing with. I took initiative and came crashing down hard on Pander, dealing a decent blow only to be pushed back immediately by his dark magic, sending me into the wall almost as I hit the brakes on my wings and stalled myself, pushing back forward and aiming at the Overlord turned Intergalactic Asshole once more, dead on, with all the force I could muster, pushing him back and into his own throne, watching as he jumped off and back towards us, landing at his starting position.

Not bad. But it’d take a lot more than being able to ricochet around a bit to exhaust me or stop me. Whenever I could, I’d hold ground and absorb attacks, watching as my girls tried to dent him, each one thrown off with but a mere flick each time, rendering them stuck in positions that could only support and buff me and keep me going, hoping to do anything they could to slow him down, but this was clearly meant to be my fight.

This went on for what felt like all too long and barely anything at once. This was almost a stalemate fight, with neither of us getting anywhere if all we were doing was going to be stuck in a circle of trading blows and healing immediately from it. Our endless supplies of magic seemed to not even have a dent in them after what felt like hundreds of turns and strikes landed. The whole of the castle was scarred, and I suddenly had an idea.

“Girls, stop focusing on me and Pander; it’s the walls. Use your enchanted weapons and start demolishing the spires around us! He’s feeding off them, the energy inside the castle walls, the ones connected to the heavens. I need them taken down as soon as possible. I’ll be fine; I can take a hit or a hundred. Just get them down now or we’re never going to get anywhere!”

Pander narrowed his eyes and chuckled a bit. “Took you long enough to figure that one out, you pathetic excuse for a hero. Do you really think you can keep up with damage output at this point without your precious harem backing you up?”

His grin was a wicked one but that just made me want to wipe it off his face forever even harder than normal. I sighed and kicked him into his throne, using my wings to push forward and drive my omniweapon against his sword, keeping him locked down as the girls tirelessly chipped at the foundation of each of the twisted spires he had made here and laced them with the last of the explosives they had, supplementing them with the stuff they’d stolen from the lab.

If it was good enough to make a demonic golem of a person, it was good enough to wreck someone’s home in. And wouldn’t you know it, forcing too much energy and ammunition both into the cracks of any foundation, even one built out of chunks of some evil space magic, is enough to wreck it, leaving a hole in each spire’s foundation level bricks for the girls to demolish even with their bare fists if they wanted, watching as the energy in them dissolved and came crashing down almost to an ash and floating away into the wind as the magic in them disappeared and with it, any semblance of building material it was shaped as.

Each one that was knocked down released some of the stalemate hold against me that Pander had and my blows began to push back further, damage him more, actually put some pain in his expressions, his damage against me lowering and his push back on me less and less, until he was closer to anyone else we had faced, and I was able to mow him down with no problem.

But see, here’s the problem. With these kinds of deals, you rarely ever just win these final fights without some kind of massive all out brawl and secret advantage they’d been hiding until now that was maybe only barely hinted at, but never the less makes sense in their context. I was sitting around waiting and looking up at my goddesses, nodding to them as if I understood this was far from over, but that I would see this through to the end. Seeing any woman like that, immortal or no, upset me and drove me further. I just stood waiting for him to launch his inevitable counterattack.

With a trickle of oddly colored copper blood trickling from his lips, he grinned and began laughing, his hair on end again as his face distorted slowly from a sneer, to a small chuckle, to a mocking roar, to an outright overbowling laughter, to cackling wide, teeth bared and his eyes changing from wide to narrow over and over, hands up and his whole form swirling with dark energy. Yeah, this guy was far from down and out. But apparently drawing blood was the fucking line for him.

“My… My face… I can’t believe you… You stupid, insipid valkyrie… My face… MY FACE! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE WROUGHT?” He mocked me, his words and tone mocking me, but his words filled with nothing but rage.

“Uh, apparently a blow to the ego if nothing else. Good goddesses’ tits, you’re a vain one ain’t you?” I grinned back. I was tense inside and out, a ball of nervousness almost and awareness as I kept an eye on every single movement he made, be it his toes stepping or his body buckling or whatever sneer his laughter contorted his face into.

His hand covered his face as he looked at me through his fingers, still cackling somehow. “You… Okay, valkyrie, if that’s how it’s going to be, then I just want you to know playtime is over. This face is insured for more than this planet, the system it’s in, is worth! This is the face of the Intergalactic Slavemaestro you have scarred!”

“…You would think a villain would understand chicks dig scars but okay, sure, act like a typical pretty boy villain and see what I care. I’m sure someone out there will draw fanart of you yet. Maybe even get your own self insert fanfiction series dedicated to you. No, seriously, this is what fucking sets you off? And you’re the one calling me insipid?” I stomped on over to him and slapped his hand off his face and looked deep into his eyes, my own still swirling with energy, with an enmity unlike any other born on this planet before.

He looked, a bit speechless, but mostly annoyed. I just continued to go ahead and lay it into him.

“Grow the fuck up, there’s no way you’re fucking in charge of shit, you’re probably just some shitbag’s lackey, you act like a goddamn child, Pander. Can’t have your way, you can’t have my women or any woman, so you do this? Go around the galaxies bullying people into giving you what you want? You’re fucking disgusting. How fucking dare you even think of me as your equal. That’s not even a question. Just how fucking dare.”

“Is that so, valkyrie?” He scoffed, spitting blood on my face and sneering back. “Then why haven’t you killed me yet?”

“Because you haven’t been knocked upside your thick alien skull enough and made an example of to your men below, who now look up and see you injured, losing, their faith wavering and giving strength to my side. Soon, your castle and your life will lay in ruins below me.”

“So, that’s it? You really want to do this?” Pander replied. “Then you and me. Let’s go, you total simpleton of a mortal.”

The sky began to crack dark and shoot lightning around, swirling around us now that the ceiling lay bare and open in the Layewaiste Castle, as Pander roared and hunched over, collecting energy in his back and twisting himself into some kind of ugly gargoyle of a man almost, wings cracking out as he immediately used this new form to dive into me and force me to spread my own wings wide and jump off his face.

“A desperate move, Pander.” I taunted. It was easy to set these types off once they started throwing around tricks like this, their bodies and minds tainted with their own magic and hatred like a drug, knowing it would make him irrational and less and less able to think his words and actions out. If I played this right, I could lead him into my omniweapon every time and drag him around the sky like he was on a leash. “You look as rotten as you think and speak now. Fitting.”

“BE QUIET, VALKYRIE!” Pander dove at me again and we clashed swords, pushing off each other as I grinned. He was just as angry and predictable as I was guessing.

“Hey, Pander, what was that about your face? I thought you insured it to always look clean and pretty or something, this tainted demon look ain’t doing you any favors on that end.” I drove him mad with that one, letting him claw and slash desperately at me as I just knocked him upside the head a few times. Maybe a concussion would get it through to him.

“I WILL END YOU! THIS PLANET IS MINE YET! I HAVEN’T BEGUN TO FIGHT!”

“Tsk tsk, more desperate yet. It’s okay, I’m sure some guy into monster dudes like this is drawing you all nice and submissive about now. There’s definitely still a market for you, just probably not the one you want. I bless this man that he may sell out of his comics about you and just how much he wants to ream you in the a--”

It’s kind of hard to taunt someone who’s now using the sky to draw dark energy from and shoot a multi laser at you, making me dodge like this was now some sort of bullet hell.

I recovered and yelled at my girls. “Hey, I’m going to need you to guard the goddesses for me, I know you got enough skills combined you can cover them for what I’m about to do.”

I channeled my energy into my omniweapon again, changing its form so that it opened wide with points for lasers to come out of, the middle of it opening widest to launch a missile. I had to wait for him to charge his own up and stall myself out lest I use up too much fuel. The timing would have to be right for me to blow him out of the sky and back down to the ground.

“Hey Pander.” I mocked him, making sure he kept a still focus on me. Provocation was the best weapon and my only chance I had at this. “Mine’s bigger.”

It was simple, but it was all I needed to say. He howled and locked onto me, staring me face to face. “CHILDISH, BASTARD OF A VALKYRIE! FEMRYSCA SHALL BE MINE!”

All the clouds swirled and every bolt of dark lightning entered him, making him glow a pale gray, shimmering with a darkness enough to match the radiant rainbow light coming off me. At once, we readied our attacks at each other, only I did something I had been taught long ago. Something simple.

Once Pander fired, I dove into his attack instead, mine loaded and not going off until I had placed my foot firm on his chest and aimed at his face. Before he could mutter anything beyond a “I CAN’T BELIEVE IT...” there was a massive explosion followed by me spinning this guy back down onto his throne below, cracking it in half as he lay on it, back to his original form.

I landed down softly and caught my breath. My girls remained on standby with the goddesses, holding ground against the Overlord I had just so swiftly delivered them, and standing tall, grinning.

“Can I go home now? Is this shit done, Pander?” I sighed. This was starting to get annoying. I began to wonder how everyone else who saved the world was able to put up with the job as long as they did, until I remembered, oh yes, every woman currently alive in the universe was going to be freed if I managed to rough this son of a bitch up enough. I couldn’t think of a more higher stake or bet than that, and an Atma Weapon would always keep her word no matter what.

“Ha… Ha… It’s been a while since one you pathetic planets rose up in such a way that I had to bust this out… Your doom is still inevitable, Valkyrie Weapon, and I’ll ease up on you and give you half of half of the universe’s women if you surrender now...” Pander tried to offer me one last deal. “After this, if you say no, I’m afraid I’m going to have to bring out it.”

“Well, then bring it. I have nothing more to say on the subject of the bet. You’re losing bad and the odds are in my favor, Pander. Whatever you have I’ll match it a thousand times more. I’m more stubborn than you and always have been, always will be.”

There was a pause. The wind died down to just a breeze between us as he stood back up, looking more scuffed up and dripping only a bit of blood, less injured than you think someone would be after eating a missile and being thrown on top of the back of a chunk of metal. We just looked at each other, the absolute bitter loathing that we had for each other palpable to all of Femrysca.

“So be it.” Pander eventually spoke up. “I’ll just have to call in reinforcements.”

Before I could even ask how he would, with a flick of his finger, behind him in view, from the dark clouded skies above, slowly descended something of incredible mass and metallic form. It was as black and gray and tinged purple as he was, with weapons unimaginably huge everywhere on it, and he began to cackle again as he jumped up and landed backwards onto the tip of the bow, looking down at me with his arms crossed and a smug expression. One sneering and wide enough to crush any ego that wasn’t at least equal to his.

Of course, once more, mine’s bigger. But this?

Shit. Even I wasn’t sure how to quite deal with this coming down out of nowhere.

“This is the Gotterdammerung. He’s been circling this lousy planet the whole time, watching your every move, recording you and the planet before its inevitable downfall. He has conquered more galaxies, planets, countries, women than you will ever get a chance to touch or lay in your lifetime. He’s bigger, mine’s bigger, you flaccid little valkyrie.” He began to mock me.

“And if you don’t surrender now I’m going to let him have his way with Femrysca and destroy every inch of land here there is! This place will be rebuilt in the image of the almighty Intergalactic Layewaiste Empire!”

Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. I had to think fast. I was strong, nigh invincible, but I don’t think I could take on a spaceship myself.

Let alone the fact he was already calling in smaller, more agile looking backup ships. The armada was descending upon us, and I needed a way to bring in the cavalry myself.

So I did what anyone in this situation would.

Pray. Pray that my ass would come up with something and that we could continue living.

Good thing prayers are easy to answer when you have three goddesses by you.

“Atma… The Weapon...” Sheathe spoke first, looking at me with a warmth and glow unlike any I’d seen either. It was welcoming and at once, all my fears were gone and nothing but hope remained.

“Take… Take back the weapons of your girls… Fuel Lesbifrost, and turn the key...” she continued. I just nodded, obeying her cryptic words, and nodding to my girls, who gladly lent their energy back into me. There was no way any of them could begin to contend with any of these ships, let alone one of them.

I gave out what would be my final combat command for them.

“My girls… It has been nothing but a pleasure and an honor to be able to fight alongside you like this, but I have to go now. I have to save Femrysca. I have to do this.”

I began to cry a bit, raising my weapon up and draining their weapons slowly back into me.

“Take the goddesses down now that Pander’s distracted and go. Leave. Lead the army below to victory and then get the hell out of here, get as far away from this place as you can.”

They nodded up to me and gave me a salute, blowing kisses at me and trying to smile instead of cry. As they headed for the door and the stairs down, we gave each other one last look.

“I’ll come back. An Atma Weapon always keeps her word.” I shook my head a bit as Lesbifrost changed shape into a simple key. I palmed it and grinned, somehow knowing where this was going before it even started. “Nay. A Valkyrie Weapon always keeps her word. I love you all, deeply, sincerely. And if I should not return, live on as I would have. Remember me only warmly.”

I held the key up and a small but tight swirl of rainbow energy came off it as I twisted it.

And at once, we all yelled the one thing to get this show going into overdrive.

“For womankind.” I said as I changed my attention back to Pander.

“For womankind! We love you, now, and always.” My girls replied, bowing to me as they began their escape sequence, knowing damn well too what was coming out of all this.

As I turned the key more, I felt a presence rise up behind me, a breeze coming up off it and blowing my wings and hair up, pocketing the key between my breasts for now, Lesbifrost safe and secure as I jumped back and added a few spins, if only to outdo Pander even in showmanship right now. It was as red and gold as I was, shining and shimmering, forged of the same kind of rainbow material that my omniweapon and armor were. Its aura instilled in me an incredible sense of hope and faith in everything yet, enveloping me in her warmness.

The goddesses’ voices boomed into my head as I landed, giving me further instruction.

“You are now aboard Her Higheness Gjallarhorn, the ship of warriors and queens and valkyries before you. In Femfrysca’s times of greatest needs, she would appear and protect the land and everyone in it, man and woman and everyone between or not at all alike, to ensure peace and happiness across everywhere you’d seen and more. She has not been woke up in a while nor in a time of greater need. She will be more than sufficient to ensure Pander’s destruction, but only if you give it your all.”

I nodded, speaking aloud so they could hear me, wherever they had escaped to.

“I’m not coming back without him thoroughly defeated. I swear it upon you, upon Femrysca, upon womankind. For you all, I shall fly.”

“Hail to the victor. Be brave. Walk into the fire. Only you are burning enough that the flames of Pander’s rage will not scorch you.”

“You got it, babe.”

Pander scoffed at me, looking me in the eye with disdain. “Nice little last ditch parlor trick there, valkyrie, but you’ve only one ship to my armada. What makes you think that will do anything but stall the end of all things? You really are as stupid as I’d hoped, but that stubbornness of yours is a dangerous mix with it. Putting you down will be one of the most satisfying kills of my entire career as the Intergalactic Slavemaestro. I don’t even want you chained up or slaving away now as I originally planned; I just want to see you bleed! Bleed, and die, Valkyrie Weapon! En garde!”

I let my magic flow into my fingertips, and wherever they pointed, my guns and cannons on my ship began to trace and follow. If I pointed with it directly, it’d fire off that way, enabling me to trace shapes and patterns with all armed sides of it, and at once I aimed not at Pander, but around and behind him, swirling in a war dance and drawing intricate shapes at what looked like nothing, and at once began destroying some of his backup as if they were just flies being swat out of the sky.

Each one was cut through with a simple shining beam and a quick stall would occur, just enough time for the goons inside of his ships to cry out in agony, knowing they couldn’t escape, some yelling out for their precious Overlord to save them, or glory be unto him and the Empire, and then exploded in a fiery fury of the hottest whites and reds one could imagine. Each one just dissolving after into nothing, any remaining chunks landing into hot craters down below, scarring the face of Femrysca and causing the armies below to scatter and stop, their eyes now too busy looking at the war above them.

“What were you saying, Pander?” I laughed. I liked this thing. What a beautiful piece of equipment. I had no idea Lesbifrost was capable of such things, but like any good rainbow, she was everything, every color at once, and it showed.

“Feh.” Pander paced a bit before commanding his ship to raise up and past the sky into the stars and entering space. “Let’s go where we can really duke this out. I want to see you as humiliated as possible as I crush your skull under my feet! Oh, how satisfying that will be!”

“Alright, you dumb bitch.” I met Pander’s threat and drove Gjallrhorn up to chase after the Gotterdammerung. Space was cold, but it was freeing, and Pander had no idea the threat he just unleashed. “Giving me unlimited room and power to show off was your fatal mistake, and I hope history remembers that well. You don’t give someone as stupid and brave as me a chance to look cool; I will absolutely ruin you every time! Now, you, en garde!”

That was the nice thing about space is it gave us, well, the space to go at speeds that would have broke the bones of everyone around us by sheer force, destroyed every building, crushed every tree, and made Femrysca into a land of nothing but death and pain. We could fire off whatever we wanted at each other and not feel an inch of regret that we might have hit something we actually liked. Sparks were flying as our ships maneuvered in ways that resembled two sentient meteors just flying past each other, each and every clash resonating and clacking with a loud and large burst of magic off of both of us, making everything loud below, echoing into the deepest hollows of space, engines roaring and sending off either a wave of darkness or a radiant sparkling glow depending on which ship of ours you were trying to track with your eyes.

It was almost impossible to keep track of us and who was winning, and the armies sat waiting for something, anything to happen so one of them would gain an advantage, the soldiers below on each side instead turning into their leader’s cheerleaders, shouting and screaming and whistling from below to get ‘em done and all that nonsense.

It was then something began to resonate in me. As I flew around and past other planets, I got a glimpse of what was going on, how miserable everyone looked, and somehow I overheard their voices, and they began to whisper to each other.

“Someone’s daring to take on the Intergalactic Overlord!” One said, surprised as one could be.

“She’s… She has gotten as far as daring to take on the Gotterdammerung! She must have really angered him!”

“But if she loses, he’ll take his ire out on us further… And nobody has ever been able to match him in space combat… Oh I pray she makes it!”

I roared past Pander and slowed down just enough to meet him, bow to bow crossing, looking him in the face and screaming, my eyes wide with anger as the extent of his damage began to actually click inside of my brain. My arm met with his neck and I hit the engines full throttle, sending him flying all the way back into his cockpit and cracking it, screaming “YOU MOTHERFUCKER!” and roaring, loud enough to send echoing waves of radiance through space, somehow cutting through its very rules of existence and howling, the Gjallarhorn pointing its guns directly at the cockpit and Pander, ready to fire off as I heard something behind me.

At once, a whole second armada, and a third, and a fourth, and endlessly seemed to appear and I stopped, growling down at my opponent with nothing but venom spewing from my lips at this point.

“How dare you, you stupid cheating piece of shit! Why don’t you just fucking fight me one on one like the man you claim you are?”

“Because that would be too easy for both of us!” Pander laughed as he recovered, spitting drops of his copper blood onto the deck and forcing me to back up and turn around, aiming for the armadas before me and rapidly drawing in an attempt to take them out. They were all easy enough to blow up and kill, but when you have a whole universe worth of backup, and with time being of the essence, even I began to tire, and things began to look grim.

The Gjallarhorn stalled.

I sat, breathing rapidly, sweating in between wave after wave of enemies, not knowing just how much the universe could contain. Who knew how long I was fighting them while still desperately blocking Pander from re-entering Femrysca and taking over behind my back as I fought.

However, there’s only so much one valkyrie could do, and once even that smidgen of doubt set into me, it began to eat me up from the inside.

It was looking more and more like Femrysca might be taken, and soon.

Things had never been more dire.

But that’s when the voices returned.

“Please… Don’t give up… I want to know freedom… I want my daughters to know a clear sky again and see them smile..”

“Oh, whatever gods are out there, protect this warrior! This mighty one who dares defy the Slavemaestro!”

“KILL HIM! KILL THE BASTARD! TEAR HIM LIMB FROM LIMB AND BEAT HIM TO DEATH WITH HIS OWN LIMP DICK! SEND THE SON OF A BITCH TO THE LOWEST DEPTHS OF HELL AND MAKE SURE HE CAN NEVER ESCAPE! LET HIM EAT HOT COAL AND SHIT AND BE TORTURED FOREVERMORE A THOUSAND TIMES FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US HE’S EVER HURT! AHAHA!”

“You’ve gotten this far, you can’t give up yet!”

And so forth.

The encouragement filled me and warmed me, and that’s when I heard the goddesses below one more time.

“Oh, Atma. Our chosen one. You have done well to get this far on your own. But now, take it. The power in those voices. The power of women all over the universe!” They said in unison. “But more than anything, take our power too. Are we not women as well?”

Before I could respond, a beam of light suddenly hit me, and I rose up into and began to roar, my body filled with a tremendous form of the energy that had been fueling me, an infinite supply of it, a godly supply, turning me into a demi god as I steeped in the light and twitched, a new form coming out of me yet.

Gjallarhorn slowly began to collapse and take itself apart, and I was clad in chunks of it as my armor, with the main cannons coating the omniweapon and becoming but one big sword on my back, the entirety of me covered in spikes and conduits that would absorb energy, radiant rainbow chunks coming off it and back into me, with a cape made of pure magic on and my hair burst into magic flames, my eyes white and dotted now red, flecked with gold as I howled and spread a pair of wings that spanned galaxies.

Pander stood, he himself finally realizing the stakes he had put forth might actually be something he was at great risk to lose. He had never seen anything like this, no human or woman this defiant that they became something so maddened and holy. He growled and sneered, commanding he himself to take on the form of Gotterdammerung, trying to rival me in form and power, now just two warriors standing on the edge of time and creation, galaxies swirling around us as I pointed my sword at him and spewed forth a ball of pure mana almost, it dissipating back into me.

The time was nigh.

I began to speak, not knowing what I was saying, as if the tremendous gift I had been given was speaking for itself.

“Intergalactic Overlord Pander.”

“Valkyrie… No, Atma Weapon. Finally, a worthy opponent. You are the first to get this far; fitting you would be the last I’d need to conquer that did. But like everyone else, you will lose to me. And all will finally be mine.”

“You foolish, cruel, hateful man. You understand not now what you stand before.”

“I stand before the very fool I will step on in my greatest victory ever! Do I not, you stubborn wench?”

“I am every bit of love and hope in the universe. Every woman’s love, every man’s hope, every human beings bravado. Their desire to keep going not despite of it all, but in spite of it all. I am happiness, I am the very life and growth you seek to destroy.”

“As I shall.”

“Then do it. I dare you. Try. For I am now both Lif and Lifthrasir both. I am the lifegiver, the lover, the very spiraling source of all existence even after you your Gotterdammerung would descend.”

All stood still as I roared and pointed my sword up and let a light shine bright enough to illuminate the whole universe.

“I AM THE YGGDRASIL WEAPON! COME NOW, FOOLISH ONE WHO WISHES BUT RAGNAROK DESCEND ON US! YOUR FIGHT ENDS HERE!”
