You look around for a weapon to equip.

"Bring it on, love!" The succubus laughs as she begins to recite a dread incantation, bringing the temple up out of its foundation and pulling it into the sky, beginning to transform it into a battle mecha.

You begin to run for the Daybreaker and activate her.

"Come on! Turn on! It's time to kick some ass!" You shout as you activate it and change it from its tank mode to its battle mecha mode.
As you begin to power it up, the temple begins to quake and shake. As your screens begin to turn on, you can see the entire city being covered by an unnatural darkness. The temple stops being a building and becomes a dark mecha to rival your own Daybreaker. The succubus takes on the role of the pilot for the temple machine, sending you a video threat over the communication lines and taunting you.
"Well, hello there, Redwood! Glad to see you made it up here before I launched. How are you feeling? Angry at the situation? Despairing at your chances?" She begins, flashing views of her chest and crotch at you to try to distract you. "It really is a shame you woke up so soon and I didn't have time to drag you off and imprison you to use as my love slave. I guess we got to do this the hard way now!"
You growl and feel your cheeks flush red. "Just fight me, you weird horny idiot!"
"Oh, Is that how it is?" She asks. "You've fallen so hard that you want to kill me now instead of love me? I guess I'll just have to kill you!"

You look around for any melee weapons on the Daybreaker, trying not to damage the town or the people in it, not wanting to risk firing off a missile or anything yet.

A long, thin metal stick comes out of the device, as well as a laser sight from the tip of the stick. You have summoned a magical spear for the Daybreaker, shaped like a halberd with the blade made out of pure energy.

You begin to use the Daybreaker's polearm against the temple machine and laugh. "Oh, looks like you get your wish, succubus! I can finally penetrate you!"

> You laugh as you begin to use the polearm to attack, dodging and weaving around the attacks of the temple machine and aiming for the cockpit. The blade scrapes against it but doesn't break the barrier.

Eventually, you get bold and turn on the Daybreaker's thrusters, shooting yourself high up, aiming the halberd at the temple and the succubus, jumping back down at it. "This is an old technique from back home. Our spearmen love to jump, and since your temple doesn't have thrusters, I'd say it's time for me to thrust gloriously into you and let the energy from the head of my spear burst inside of you!"
The succubus roars, flying the temple in a z-pattern to dodge the spear thrust, but you anticipated such a move, with the head of the spear already having embedded itself into her temple machine.

You eject the halberd's energy head into the temple and fly back, letting it explode and destroy the temple from the inside out.

> You press the button to eject the energy head of the spear, letting it fly forward and directly into the face of the temple machine, in turn destroying it. The succubus is shot out of the cockpit, looking a bit fried and worse for the wear, and you stand outside of your cockpit and down at her from the top of the Daybreaker.
"Couldn't handle my huge load, could you?" You grin.
The succubus snarls but says nothing, instead choosing to concentrate a beam of dark energy from her hand and aiming it at you. You sidestep it and jump back down, landing in front of the succubus.
"It's over, and I don't feel like killing a pretty face." You say, a little more serious now. "I want you and your people out of this temple, and if you ever return, I will show no mercy."
The succubus spits blood onto the ground and looks up at you, before nodding.
"I'm sure there's a home for even a demon as weirdly horny as you." You sigh.
"You're one to talk about being weirdly horny, sweet little Redwood." She laughs weakly. "You're not going to kill me?"
"I don't like killing women unless the fallout from her living would outweigh her attempt at redemption." You say, rubbing the back of your head. "It's stupid of me, I know."

You park the Daybreaker again and go to find Vera to help clean up the town.

"I hope so." You sit down and sigh.
"I'm hungry, that was a long fight." Pumpkin meows, licking some water up out of a holy fountain.
"You barely did anything!"
"I saved your butt. Literally. That mattress made for a soft landing for it."
You smirk and chuckle. "Alright, cat. I'll buy that."
Just then, a small crest appears in the sky of the night. It points its light down directly to a room near you, illuminating an old chest.
"Ahh, it is time to pass down the legendary axe. The Allmother is telling us to open this and give it to you, Redwood." Very smiles, going to unlatch the chest, unveiling the legendary axe. It looks more like a sword than an axe, but it's larger than both.
You grin, taking the huge blade into your hands and swinging it around with surprising ease. Its colors shine a bright purple and red, with a strange pattern of stars running along the blade. You feel power well up inside you as you hold it.
"This axe is called the Farseer." Very says. "It allows you to see any enemy's fate, and cut short that fate with a single swing."
"That's handy." You say.
"Please, stay the night and let you and your comrades rest, Redwood. You can head out to the Throne of Knots come morning. It is still a ways due southeast of here, but I have no doubt you'll make it. But please, do rest first." Vera gently touches your hand, like a mother would.

You smile at Vera and graciously accept her offer. "Of course I will. I don't think I've gotten to, ahem, due my other duties and satisfy the women here yet, anyway. I can't leave until my name here is synonymous with a good lay!"
